Youth Activities

The Memorial Drive Lutheran Youth Group participates and organizes various activities throughout the year that helps nurture their relationship with Christ, strengthen their faith, and bring them closer together as a group. These activities include but are not limited to:

• Senior High Gathering – Synod sponsored weekend event held at a hotel
• The Souper Bowl of Caring – proceeds donated to Mission Yahweh
• Packaging of Valentine boxes for shut-ins and college students
• Weekend retreat at Luther Hill
• Garage Sale – proceeds directed to support service work and trips
• Youth Sunday Worship service led by the youth
• Mission Yahweh service projects: planting flowers and donation of school supplies
• Confirmation Camp at Camp Chrysallis
• Lord of the Streets – service project to assist with feeding the homeless of Houston
• Disciple Project – Youth leadership in Seguin
• Leadership Lab – Youth leadership training
• Birdies for Charity – proceeds donated to Mission Yahweh
• Mother´s Day and Father´s Day Breakfasts
• Fall Leadership Retreat at Lutherhill – leadership training
• CROP Walk – annual walk to fund food for the hungry
• Packaging of Halloween boxes for shut-ins and college students
• Junior High Gathering – Synod-sponsored weekend event held at a hotel
• Thanksgiving Pie Sale – annual fundraising event

Youth and Family Committee

The Youth and Family Committee ensures that an environment exists within our congregation that provides Christian nurturing of our children and youth; integrates our young people into the life of our church and equips them for living fully as Christians in the world.
