J. Jeffrey Zetto - Senior Pastor
Pastor Zetto has accepted a Call to begin his ministry at Memorial Drive Lutheran Church effective July 6, 2010. In his acceptance letter to our President, Rene Garza, he stated,
"I received your Letter of Call to the pastoral ministry of Memorial Drive Lutheran Church. After prayerful consideration and in consultation with Bishop Robert Driesen of the Upper Susquehanna Synod, my wife Dawn, and our immediate family, we are convinced that serving Christ as the Senior Pastor of Memorial Drive Lutheran Church is the direction God wants for us all at this time.
Together, as Pastor and parishioners, we have the awesome task of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with family, friends and community. By the Holy Spirit's guidance we shall be directed and empowered to fulfill that task and more.
God's creative and redeeming grace moves us beyond the boundaries of human perception and gives us both the vision and volition to our earthly limitations. When our actions and inactions fail to meet our goals, the forgiving love of Jesus sustains us in our mutual relationships and ministries, so that what is broken may be mended and what is incomplete may become a catalyst for new directions.
While the doing of and the relating in ministry are difficult - and in these days especially require stronger faith than ever before - even greater is God's shalom, the healing, wholeness, comfort, and joy given to his faithful people, individually and corporately through Word and Sacrament.
Thus it is with humility, expectation, and joy I accept the Call of Memorial Drive Lutheran Church to be its Senior Pastor, effective 6 July 2010, according to the Letter of Call issued by the congregation 23 May 2010,
In Christ our Lord,
(The Rev.) J. Jeffrey Zetto"
